You need things like that to happen now and then, things that restore your faith in humanity. And it’s usually not big things, it’s the little gestures. Sometimes we so much of the worst of people that we may forget there is much more good in most of us.
As I got back to my car this afternoon, the car parked next to mine was trying to back out of her space. As I’m sure you know, that is rarely easy to do in a busy mall. So, I walked out a little bit and waved her on until she was safely out of the space.
Then I began to try to back out of my own space. It was easy. Mostly because the woman I had helped, then circled back around and blocked traffic for me. I was so delighted when I saw who it was who had done that!
Doncha just love things like that? I think the trick is to look for those things. Oh, and doing them yourself is a good idea, too.
