About Susan
A little about Susan…
A lot of writers have the same story I do: Writing since we could hold a pencil, wrote stuff for friends, finally thought, “Hey, maybe I can make some money at this!”
I was fortunate enough to have a good education, so it should be no surprise that I’m a voracious reader. I graduated from William & Mary with a Bachelor’s in Communication. I recently got a Master’s, this time in Music, Vocal Performance, from New York University.
Between acting, voice-over work, singing, and recently, radio talk show host, I have been a performer for most of my life. (You can see all of this at my personal web site.) I’ve also taught: acting, singing, swimming, Scuba, math, and yes, writing. I have one ebook out now, You Can’t Hijack My Show.* A 3-book series on grammar – Grammar, Word Usage, and This Word or That – will be out soon. Also in the works is The Complete Guide to Self-Sabotage or How to Shoot Yourself in the Foot.
I’ve moved around so much that the family joke was they always wrote my address in pencil. But it’s given me a very rich experience of people and cultures. I love being outdoors and active. I’ve been swimming since I was three and I love the ocean. I’ve lived a lot of places (the family joke was nobody wrote my address in pen), so I’ve experienced a lot of different climates, environments, and cultures. I love adventure and I have the five most incredible nephews every born.
